Squabbling On The Play Ground

I don’t know about you but I am sick and tired of the congressional members bickering back and forth. This writer feels they should be busy trying to “repair” the economy instead of acting like a bunch of spoiled children on the playground. Seems the crowd that ran everything, over the past eight-years, dislikes being in the minority.

Well, that control used in all the wrong ways, spiraled this country into a financial and economical disaster. I’ve yet to hear them take accountability instead; they blame the other party for everything. Wrap your mind around that! Maybe they are a show-and-tell crowd. Someone, please sit them down and diagram out for them the grade school meaning of bipartisanship so we can get on with a recovery program…

Our government leaders are there to work for us, not themselves. So, here is what you can do; if you want something to change for the better then one must be involved! The Credit Reporting Agencies And You

Once again, thanks to our congressional leaders lining their pockets, the credit card companies, banking industries and credit reporting agencies have written their own book of rules. They should have called it “How to Cheat, Steal and Ruin Lives.”

The credit reporting agencies information determines if YOU are employment worthy. That should be worrisome to everyone since we all know how inaccurate credit files can be. Yes, in the legal guidelines of the FTC, employers can view your credit report to decide if you are a good candidate for hiring. That report details your personal and credit characteristics, character, general reputation, and lifestyle. So you see, those three little numbers (FICO score) can wreak havoc with your life.

Considering the fact that individuals fall on hard times (and especially now) I think they should resend the law and not allow employers to use an individuals credit/consumer report as a character reference. A good case and point as to why we need to track the bills and start sending yea or nay letters to our congressional representatives. In my opinion the whole credit reporting system needs revamped!

Loss Of Jobs And Foreclosures

With the loss of jobs and foreclosures, brought on by the greed of banks, real estate investors/agents, and builders many individuals credit worthiness will be affected. Nevertheless, where there is a will, there is a way to overcome unexpected events. When it comes to the Stimulus Plan, I am very optimistic. I believe it will help America get back on its feet---less the greedy bums that brought us down.

The following entities, for the protection of consumer's, need to be regulated:

• Wall Street, Banks, Loan Agencies, Credit Unions
• Credit Card Providers
• Utility Companies
• Telephone Service (including independents )
• Gas Retailers
• Insurance Companies (all types)
• Doctors and Hospitals
• Eliminate the Outsourcing of Jobs

When food and health care become a luxury then it is time for change! I’m sure you could add to this list as well.
